Indian Scholastic Assessment Test (Ind-SAT) is an online proctored test for students seeking scholarships to study in India. Ind SAT assesses the ability and perseverance of the students studying in UG and PG programs in India. Moreover, the Ind-SAT score acts as a criterion for shortlisting the deserving students for the allotment of scholarships. What is Ind SAT Exam?

The Indian Scholastic Assessment Test (Ind-SAT) was conducted for the first time on 22 July 2020 under the ‘Study in India’ program by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD). The ‘Ind-SAT’ exam is run by the National Testing Agency in a proctored mode.

The exam name ‘Ind-SAT‘ has now been changed to ‘PROGATII‘ – ‘Performance Rating of Applicants through Global Aptitude Test for Indian Institutions’.

Therefore, students from neighbouring countries like Nepal, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Zambia, Indonesia and Mauritius can appear in the Ind-SAT program.

Ind-SAT syllabus is mainly prepared from class 12th onwards. These are the main subjects that are covered in the Indian Scholastic Assessment Test.

  • Verbal Ability: Grammar, Fill in the blank, Reading comprehension, Analogies, Para jumbles, Antonyms, Sentence correction, Idioms & Phrases.
  • Logical Reasoning: Direction sense, Blood relations, Seating arrangements, Rankings, Puzzles, Coding & Decoding.

How To Apply?

Candidates have to visit the official website for the Ind-SAT program and complete the authorization process. Candidates must have any of the following documents and a valid photo-id during the authorization process.

  • Passport
  • Driving license
  • Photo-ID issued by the local government.
  • Photo-ID card issued by the institute where a candidate is studying or studied
  • Photo-ID issued by an employer (if the candidate is employed)
  • Citizenship ID card
Authorisation Process:

For the authorization process, candidates must follow the below steps.

1: Go to the official “SII” website (Study in India).

2: Capturing a clear live snapshot of your face is a must.

3: Capture a snapshot of a valid ID proof

4: Complete the registration process for creating a user ID and password. All students can find their SII ID at the top of the student dashboard by logging into the Study in India portal.
