JNV Admission

The total number of JNVs sanctioned in India is 661, of which 14 JNVs in Arunachal Pradesh are divided district-wise. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is held in April every year at a national level. Students who clear the JNV Selection Test (JNVST) will get admission to classes VI, IX and XI as per the selection test.

JNV Medium

The medium of JNVs is regional language up to class VII or VIII. After this, the medium of instruction in all Navodaya Vidyalayas will be Hindi/English.

JNV Fee Structure

Navodaya Vidyalayas are affiliated with CBSE and provide free education from classes VI to XII. It is a co-educational residential school that provides free boarding and accommodation, free uniforms, textbooks, stationery and rail and bus fare to the students.

However, a nominal fee of Rs.600/- per month is charged from the students of classes IX to XII as Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi. But, SC/ST category students from below poverty line families are free from the fees. But, students whose parents are government are charged Rs 1500/- per month.
