Staff Selection Commission-Combined Graduate Examination will be held in May 2022. Graduates of any stream aged 18 to 32 years can apply for SSC CGL Group B and Group C posts. The application form for SSC CGL 2022 will be available online, and it has to be submitted within the stipulated time.
For the SSC CGL exam, applicants must clear four stages: Tier-I, Tier-II, Tier-III, and Tier-IV. The complete details of the SSC CGL syllabus and exam pattern are given below.

SSC CGL Tier-I Syllabus
The SSC CGL Tier-I syllabus is as follows.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Numerical Aptitude
- English Comprehension
General Intelligence & Reasoning: It will include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types.
This may include a syllabus on similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, and visual memory.
General Awareness: The curriculum will be based on the environment and its application in society. It will also test the knowledge of current events and everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as an educated person.
The syllabus will also include questions related to India and its neighbouring countries, especially sports, history, culture, geography, economic scenario, general polity, Indian constitution, scientific research etc.
Numerical Aptitude: The questions will be designed to test the candidate’s ability to use numbers and number comprehension. The questions will also be based on arithmetic concepts and relationships between numbers on the 10+2 level standard.

SSC CGL Tier-II Syllabus
Tier-I qualified candidates can participate in the SSC CGL Tier-II exam, SSC CGL Tier-II is conducted online, and questions will be objective types. There are four papers in the Tier-II exam.
- Paper-1: Quantitative Ability
- Paper-2: English Language & Comprehension
- Paper-3: Statistics
- Paper-4: General Studies
The paper-1 will include questions related to Number systems, Calculation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationships between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations, Percentages, Ratios and Proportions, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discounts, and Use of Tables and Graphs. , Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time etc.
English Language & Comprehension:
This paper is included to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of the English language, such as vocabulary, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, phrases and idiomatic use of words, etc.
Topics are included in this paper: Collection of statistical data, classification, tabulation, and graphical presentation of data. Central tendency measures, dispersion measures, association and contingency measures, scatter diagrams, correlation coefficients, rank correlation coefficients and linear regression analysis except for partial correlation coefficients etc.
- General Economics: Demand and Supply Analysis, Production Function and Laws of Returns, Theory of Factor Pricing, Theory of Employment, Relation between Saving and Investment, Value of Money etc.
- Indian Economics and General Statistics: Types of sampling, National Income and Accounting, Agricultural Development during Plan Period, Rural Credit, Agricultural Price, Population and Economic Development, Demographic Profile of India etc.
SSC CGL Tier-IV Syllabus
SSC CGL Tier-III Syllabus
Tier-III is a pen and paper mode exam, which is focused on writing skills in Hindi and English languages. The candidate will not get the option to choose other regional languages, can write in Hindi and English only. The minimum qualifying mark in Tier-III is 33%. So, the candidates must have the writing skills in these categories, which are as follows.

SSC CGL Tier-IV Syllabus
The commission officials will be prepared a merit list based on Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III exams and called for the Tier-IV.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
- Data Entry Skil Test (DEST)
Candidates will have to qualify for the Computer Proficiency Test and Data Entry Skill Test per the prescribed required category of posts.
Age should be between 18 to 32 years, but it may vary depending on the category of posts.
