WB Student Credit Card Scheme was officially launched on 30th June 2021. The decision to launch this scheme was taken in the state cabinet meeting held on 24 June 2021. The plan was a part of the election manifesto of the Trinamool Congress.

So, first of all, apply for the education loan, and once the application is approved, students can withdraw the loan amount from any private or government bank. Thus, all the students residing in West Bengal for the last ten years will be benefited from this scheme.
Below are some of the steps on how to apply for a WB Student Credit Card Loan. Students of class 10th or above can take up to Rs 10 lakh for higher education through this scheme, and the age of 40 years can also take advantage of this scheme.
In addition, West Bengal student credit card loans can also be availed for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral studies in India or abroad.
WB Student Credit Card Loan Eligibility
10th pass or above who belongs to West Bengal for at least ten years will be benefited from this scheme. So, if you belong to West Bengal, you can apply online as soon as the notification is released on the official site to get the benefits.
Through this scheme, a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh will be provided, which will help you to pursue your higher education without thinking about the financial burden.

It is unclear what the interest rate is (It may be 1% to 4%), but students will get a loan at a very nominal interest rate through the student credit card scheme. However, students have to repay the loan within 15 years after getting the job.
