State Bank of India offers numerous banking facilities to their customers, making users’ lives comfortable and more accessible. So all these facilities are possible only when we know your user ID and password. So, for some reason, if you have forgotten your SBI username and password, you can reset it in two ways.
Hence, we have shared a step-by-step guide to reset your SBI forgot username and password through your profile password and ATM card.
SBI has also created various mobile applications for users. But, you must to login for accessing the banking services. It is not possible to do anything without a username and password.
So here, you can reset your login password in three ways. This will be very simple to reset the ‘forgot login password’ if you know your Profile password. Otherwise, you can also do this using the ATM card details.
Steps to get “forgot username” in SBI
For SBI online banking services, you need to enter your username and password to login. If you forget for some reason, you can reset your password and also find your username.
You can reset your forgotten SBI username and password in two ways, which are as follows:
- Through ATM card
- Using Profile Password
To get the forgot username, click on the ‘Forgot login password’ option on SBI official website. Here you will get the username after completing only four steps.
Step 1: On the next page, you have to choose the option of ‘Forgot Username‘. To get a username in SBI, you must have a CIF number in your hand, which will be found in the bank’s passbook.
Step 2: Next page will appear, enter the CIF number, country, INB registered mobile number and text image, and Submit.
Step 3: After choosing the submit option, enter OTP on the next page, which will be sent via SMS to your registered mobile number, and confirm. You will get your ‘Username‘ on this page, and it will also be sent to your registered mobile via SMS.
How to Reset forgot password in SBI?
The following steps have to be followed as given in the above steps. Here, you only have to choose the ‘Forgot login password’ option and enter the username and account number instead of the CIF number.
Step 1: Select the ‘Forgot Login Password’ option to reset the login password, and the next page will appear. Enter a username, account number, country, registered mobile number, and text image, and submit.
Step 2: On the next page, enter OTP and confirm. (An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile via SMS). You will get three options to reset your Forgot Login Password.
Step 3: Select one of the three options, and if you choose the ATM card details option, you will need to enter the ATM card details. Click Submit. But, if you choose the profile password, you must know your profile password.
Step 4: So, select Profile Password and Click Submit. Enter the profile password, and click on submit.
Step 5: Here, you will have the option to reset the new login password in SBI Online, enter the new password and confirm it.
Note: The password must be a minimum of eight characters with upper and lowercase letters and a combination of special characters and numbers.
You can reset your Online SBI password by selecting the forgot username option.
