Tamil Numbers 1 to 100 | தமிழில் எண்கள்

Tamil writing system consists of numbers in Tamil and has its own alphabet, in which numbers from 1 to 100 and beyond are written in the Tamil language. It is also the same as other languages, a numerical prefix for each number from 1 to 9, zero (0) can be added to form the words ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, hundred, thousand, etc.

Similarly, numbers from 1 to 9 are used to make another numeral by adding these numbers. Two methods are commonly used to write numbers in Tamil language, one according to Sanskrit counting from 1 to 100,000 (lakhs), and the other in English.

The name of the numerals depends on the language and the pronunciation of numbers in Tamil will be different from other languages, which are given in English for ease of understanding.
