Here’s how you can change your Mobile number in SBI Online

The State bank of India provides several online banking facilities for customers. No need to visit the branch to update your contact details. You can do it through SBI internet banking in a few steps.

So, to edit or change the mobile number you have to login to SBI internet banking. Then you will get the option to edit your contact details like your mail id and mobile number.

If you want to update only your mobile number, then enter your new number and confirm it. SBI Internet banking provides this facility and you can easily update your contact details.

You don’t need to visit the SBI branch, you can do it online in a few steps. So, visit the official website of SBI and enter your login credentials. To proceed further, we have mentioned a step-by-step guide below for you.

Steps to Update Mobile Number in SBI Online?

Step 1: Visit the OnlineSBI and log in. Click on the “Profile” tab and select the Personal details option.

Step 2: Enter your Profile password and Proceed. Your Name, Email ID, and mobile number will be displayed.

Step 3: Click on the hyperlink ‘Change Mobile Number-Domestic only (Through OTP/ATM)’. Click on the “Personal Details- Mobile number update” option on the next page.

Step 4: Enter your new mobile number and confirm the same. Click on Submit. A pop-up message ‘Verify and confirm your mobile number xxxxxxxxxx’ will appear on the screen. Click on Proceed.

Step 7: A new screen will appear with three options for acceptance of your mobile number change.

  • By OTP on both mobile numbers
  • IRATA: Acceptance of Internet Banking Request through ATM

By OTP on Both Mobile Numbers

If you have old and new mobile numbers, then the mobile number can be changed online using OTP. Click on the link next to the option ‘By OTP on both mobile numbers.

  1. Click on the ‘Proceed’.
  2. Select the account for which you have a debit card. Click on the ‘Proceed’.
  3. You will be redirected to the State Bank of India ATM Card Verification screen.
  4. Select the active ATM card and click on ‘Confirm’. The selected ATM card number will be displayed on the next screen.
  5. Enter card details like valid date/expiry date, cardholder name, and PIN, and enter the text as shown in the picture. Click on the ‘Proceed’.
  6. You will get OTP on your old and new mobile numbers upon successful verification.
  7. You have to send SMS <8 digit OTP value> <13 digit reference number> to 567676 from both mobile numbers (old and new) within 4 hours.
  8. On successful verification of OTP value, the new mobile number entered by you will be copied to INB, CBS, and ATM.

Visit the State Bank ATM and insert your ATM card. The on-screen options are given below.

  • Click the “IRATA” button and select ‘Proceed‘.
  • Select the account in which you have the Debit Card. Then, you will be redirected to the State Bank ATM card verification screen.
  • Select your ATM card and click on ‘Confirm‘. On the next screen, you will find your ATM card number.
  • Enter your ATM card details and Enter the text, which is shown in the image. Click on ‘Proceed‘.
  • Your mobile number will be registered, and you must complete the registration process. You will receive an SMS on your new mobile number. The “IRATA” reference number will be included in the SMS to change your mobile number.

How to Add a New Mobile Number through an ATM?

  1. Visit any State Bank ATM, swipe your card, and select the ‘Services‘ tab.
  2. Enter your ATM PIN, and select the Others tab on the ATM screen.
  3. Enter the 10-digit reference number for approval of the request through IRATA.

The new mobile number will be updated in State Bank on successful verification of OTP and reference number.
